Compliance & Security

How RentSettle handles outreach, tenant data, and account-level messaging.

Phone & SMS Compliance

Does RentSettle follow messaging rules?

Yes. We enforce quiet hours, frequency caps, and opt-out handling at the system level so users cannot bypass them.

What happens when a tenant texts STOP?

The system immediately marks them as opted out of SMS and sends a confirmation message. The property manager is notified of the opt-out.

Can tenants opt out of calls?

Yes. Tenants can request not to be called, and the AI will respect that request during live conversations.

AI-Powered Calls

Does the AI identify who it is calling on behalf of?

Yes. The AI introduces itself by name and states that it is calling on behalf of the property management company.

Are calls recorded?

Yes. Calls are recorded for quality assurance and dispute resolution when recording is enabled.

What does the AI do if a tenant gets upset?

The AI is trained to de-escalate, remain professional, and hand off to a human when needed.

Tenant Data & Privacy

What tenant data does RentSettle store?

We store the information you upload: tenant names, phone numbers, email addresses, property addresses, rent amounts, payment history, account balances, and communication logs generated through the platform.

How is data protected?

Tenant data is stored with row-level security, encryption in transit, and access controls so each property manager only sees their own data.

Do you share tenant data with third parties?

We share data only with service providers needed to operate the platform. We do not sell tenant data.

Audit Trail

What kind of records does RentSettle keep?

We keep call logs, SMS transcripts, email history, payment plan activity, and review decisions so property managers can see what happened and when.

Can I use these records in my own internal process?

The records are designed to support your internal collections workflow, team review, and account history.
